As part of the International Code Council’s (ICC) digital transformation agenda, the 2024 International Codes (I-Codes) have undergone significant formatting modifications aimed at enhancing user experience. These adjustments improve readability and sustainability while advocating for a sleeker, more contemporary appearance. Key changes include:
- Increased readability through a single-column text arrangement and contemporary font styles.
- QR codes replacing vertical margin sidebars and arrows for more precise code change identification.
- Improved accessibility to tables and pertinent notes with shaded table headings and remarks.
- Enhanced visibility of tables and figures by grouping related content after the parent section.
- Users can verify the validity of their book and register it with the ICC to be eligible for incentives.
