The 2024 International Codes (I-Codes) have undergone significant formatting updates as part of the International Code Council’s (ICC) digital transformation initiative, aimed at enhancing the user experience. These changes, designed to create a more streamlined, modern appearance, and improve readability and sustainability, include:
– A single-column text format and updated font styles for better readability.
– QR codes replacing vertical margin sidebars and arrows to more accurately highlight code changes.
– Shading applied to table headers and notes, making it easier to locate tables and relevant notes.
– Grouping of related content, positioning tables and figures immediately following the corresponding sections.
– The option for users to validate the authenticity of their book and register it with the ICC for additional incentives.
